Key Highlights
-
In the Hunt: Hunter Lawrence finally looked like himself. Cool, calm, calculated. He shredded Moto 1 with a 95.7 consistency score. Over half his top 10 laps were within 0.3 seconds of each other. Moto 2? Just as impressive.
-
Barking Back: How fast is Deegan right now? In Moto 1 he answered. His median lap was almost a a second better. His best lap was 1.5 seconds faster. Oh, and his top lap time was better than everyone else's Lap 99 by 0.6 seconds.
-
Masterclass in the Mud: Tomac’s opening pace in Moto 2? Absolutely unhinged. Lap 99 was nearly identical to his best from a dry track in Moto 1. But even with Beast Mode activated, it was Hunter Lawrence who clocked the fastest lap of the race. Only those two dipped under 2:10.
-
Room for Questions: Tom Vialle’s ride was quiet for a 2nd Overall. On paper? Nothing flashy either. Only the 4th fastest lap, 5th fastest median in Moto 2. But it feels like something’s building. Is it too late?
450 Analysis
Sunburns to thunderstorms. High Point served up two wildly different motos this weekend. One dry, one drenched. But one thing refuses to change this season: Jett Lawrence keeps finding a way to win. He’s now 19 for 20 in his 450 career and still hasn’t missed an overall this year. That said, this may have been his toughest battle yet. And not just for him. The whole field was in for a fight.
Track Breakdown:

The track map above shows who clocked the fastest average sector times in each motos. But first, we’ve got to talk Moto 2. The skies opened up right at the gate drop, turning the race into a full-blown mudder. Then lightning shut it all down early with only 8 laps completed. Results were finalized given AMA rules. I’ve done my best to grade consistency for those laps, but they're all marked with an (*) as they don't follow our typical consistency formula.
Jett was not invincible this weekend. Yet, he still took the overall. In Moto 1, he was only fastest in 2 of the 5 sectors, and even after stalling and dropping behind Aaron Plessinger, he made quick work getting the lead back. Still, it’s unclear how much speed he’s holding in reserve. After that mistake, he clawed back about 2 seconds per lap. We only ever seem to see Jett hit full send when Eli Tomac is breathing down his neck (Hangtown and Thunder Valley Moto 2).
But Moto 2? That was all Eli Tomac. And wow. Nearly perfect in the slop. He was flying, fastest in 4 of 5 sectors. No one had anything for him. Jett took perhaps the worst start of his 450 career and still somehow got back to 3rd. And spoiler alert, he was crazy consistent given the conditions.

High Point’s infamous downhill rollers were incredibly tough this year. Outside the muddy madness in Moto 2, Sector 2, the rollers, stood out as the toughest across every class and moto when looking at consistency scoring.
Here’s what a few riders had to say on the rollers:
This year was much worse than any I remember

Yeah, puckered every single lap through there. Had no choice but to send it either!

Lap Time Breakdown:
The histogram above shows the lap time distributions in each moto, and it tells us a lot. First, in Moto 1, there's a noticeable split: lap times under 130 seconds (2:10) belonged almost exclusively to the top five guys — the Lawrences, Tomac, Cooper, and Plessinger. That group has been the top 5 overall each weekend so far. Until Sexton returns, expect it to stay that way.
Then there’s Moto 2. Slower overall, of course, but a few early laps actually matched Moto 1 pace. Both Tomac and Hunter Lawrence came out hot before the rain turned the track to soup.

Top Performances:
Jett may have bagged the Moto 1 win, but for a while, all eyes were glued to Eli Tomac. He clocked the fastest lap of the race with a 2:04.93, and no one else was even close. But trapped behind Justin Cooper, Eli never got the chance to make it count. If Cooper hadn’t been there, Tomac might’ve walked away with the overall.
Still, don’t sleep on Jett. Despite stalling his bike, he logged the second-fastest average lap and held the best median time of the field by over a quarter-second.
LITPro 10-Lap Consistency:
Hunter Lawrence finally looked like himself. Calm, composed, and machine-like. He posted a 95.7 consistency score, his top 10 lap times were so tight that more than half were within 0.3 seconds of each other.
Lap 99 Analysis:
Multiple riders could’ve dropped into the 2:04s, but only Tomac actually did it. His Lap 99 time of 2:04.08 showed what he had in the tank.

Rider's sorted by median lap time.
Top Performances:
Hunter Lawrence and Eli Tomac were quite literally in a league of their own in Moto 2's mud. Together, the duo were the only two to break the 2:10 barrier, and each were running upwards of 2-3 seconds per lap faster than any other rider on the track.
LITPro 10-Lap Consistency:
That said, if Moto 2 had gone full length... Jett was coming. He was the only rider in the top 5 to have a consistency score, 41.1. Meaning he was adaptable, while the rest were consistently slowing down. From 9th on Lap 1 to chasing down 3rd, he kept his own pace the entire race. If the moto hadn’t been red-flagged, we might’ve been talking about a full Jett charge to the front.
Lap 99 Analysis:
Tomac’s opening pace in Moto 2? Absolutely unhinged. His Lap 99 time was nearly identical to his best from the dry Moto 1. Beast Mode was here.
250 Analysis
We came into the weekend hoping for a Haiden Deegan vs. Chance Hymas showdown. The two traded fastest times in qualifying, and it looked like we'd finally get that battle royale. Maybe even Levi Kitchen, Jo Shimoda, or defending High Point winner Ty Masterpool would join the fight.
But nope. This one was all Deegan.
Shrugging off last week’s criticism, he led every lap and never looked rattled. Kid was on rails.
Track Breakdown:

Once again, the track map shows which riders had the top average sector time in each moto.
Moto 1? No surprises. Deegan owned the track, but Levi Kitchen might be heating up again? Or does he still need more time in the oven. Shimoda was sharp too… when upright. Sadly, he laid it over in both motos.
Moto 2? A little more variety. Deegan still dominated, but with no real threat up front, we saw fresh faces sneak into the sector map. Props to Mikkel Haarup. He’s adjusting quickly to Pro Motocross from the MXGPs. Quicker than some other GP riders who have won multiple championships.
Just like the 450s, Sector 2—the Downhill Rollers—was the most brutal section for the 250 class.

Rider's sorted by median lap time.
Top Performances:
How fast is Deegan? His median lap was nearly a full second quicker than anyone else. His best lap? 1.5 seconds faster. Even after backing it down late, his average beat Kitchen’s who was pushing himself the entire race.
LITPro 10-Lap Consistency:
The 250s might not be 450-level consistent yet, but Hymas dropping a 90.8 is impressive considering his starting position. Jordan Smith posted a clean 92.4. He claims his season’s been rocky, but his consistency scoring is nearly top of class each weekend.
Lap 99 Analysis:
This is starting to become a trend, but I have to state it each time. Deegan’s fastest lap was still over 0.6 seconds better than anyone’s Lap 99. Then his own Lap 99 was over a full second faster than that. Yeah, he’s got more in the tank.

Rider's sorted by median lap time.
Top Performances:
Hymas grabbed P2 early. His top lap nearly matched Deegan’s, but he didn’t have the same intensity as Thunder Valley. Then came the gut punch. He limped home in 3rd with a confirmed knee injury. HRC says it’s “definitely” hurt. No timeline yet. Heal up, kid.
An equally as intriguing performance is Tom Vialle. 3rd place for most of the moto, before sneaking into 2nd after Hymas's injury. Nothing necessarily stands out on paper. Only the 4th fastest lap time, 5th fastest median lap time. It was a quite day for Vialle, but trending in the right direction
LITPro 10-Lap Consistency:
Vialle was the only top-five rider flirting with 90. But check this out. Avery Long dropped a nearly flawless 97.9 in 18th place. Jalek Swoll also showed out with a clean 91.3 on his return from injury.
Lap 99 Analysis:
Deegan and Hymas posted identical Lap 99s, and they were over a second clear of anyone else. But with Hymas sidelined, Deegan might just walk away with the rest of this championship.
